Immunity Boosting Orange Smoothie

Happy New Year everyone! Here is a new recipe to start off the year with a BOOST! Some fun facts about the immune boosting fruit, the Orange:

 

The fresh, raw Vitamin C contained in oranges may help boost immune system to help the body fight of  infections and viruses such as the common cold.

 

Vitamin C helps keep the skin looking young and beautiful by fighting off damage caused by the sun and pollution.  

 

The fiber contained in oranges may help lower cholesterol by picking up excess cholesterol in the gut and pushing it out through the elimination process.

 

Those are just a taste of the things oranges are good for in addition to providing benefits to the heart, diabetes and may also help with digestion and weight loss!

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 large orange, peeled

  • ½ medium banana

  • 1 cup frozen mango pieces

  • ½ cup almond milk

  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
